When a brilliant IAS officer quit his job after being fed up with a semi-literate Haryana MLA
The officer is Tayal not Murari Lal Tayal, the blue eyed boy of then Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. I don't remember his initials. About two decades back he was holding a very lucrative post in corporate and was happy with his job.

His father who happened to be a Town Planner in Haryana’s Town Planning department Haryana had seen the clout of IAS officers, and wanted his son to be an IAS officer.

To fulfill his father’s desire Tayal appeared for civil services exam and finished amongst the top ten candidates. He was later allotted Haryana cadre.

His first posting was as SDM Jhajjar. One fine day a semi-literate MLA, who was very close to the then Chief Minister, took liberties with him by using unparliamentary language. Tayal repented the day he had got selected as IAS and immediately quit his job. Now he is settled abroad and works for a top corporate house.

Moral of the story:

Handle such politicians tactfully. For learning tricks read my book on politics and governance in Haryana “Gustakhi Maaf Haryana”.
