Rocket Singh – Salesman of the year, the much awaited movie of Ranbir Kapoor has hit the big screens today, December 11 2009. The movie is about those people who somehow just manage to pass with borderline marks and with no alternative left join the world of sales.

Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir Singh) who just passes with borderline marks, which are quite embarrassing, joins the sales line. However getting such low marks does not stop him from dreaming big and thus starts his journey in the sales world which is full of adventure and excitement.

The movie stars Shazahm Padamse, Gauhar Khan, Sharon Prabhakar and Prem Chopra along with Ranbir Kapoor. The movie has been produced under Yash Raj banners and has been directed by Shimit Amin. Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant have provided music to the movie. Jaipdeep Sahni has taken care of the lyrics.

Harpreet jumps into the sales line which he believes in a super cool career for all smart people who are not able to get into medical engineering or business fields. It has everything that he dreams off. A smooth dressing, selling ice to an Eskimo, dreams to an insomniac and also selling a life time mobile connection to a dying man. Very soon his ideas clash with professionals and bosses he looked up to.
