It was a traditional Hindu wedding which was preceded by haldi, mehendi and ring ceremony. The marriage had royal flavour to it. Sources also reveal that only close family members and friends were part of the wedding.
Pictures of the couple from their wedding event were shared on social media by many fan clubs. Pankhuri wore a golden red lehenga paired with gold jewellery. Gautam complemented the look in a cream-coloured sherwani.
The mothers of the newlywed couple were seen dancing to the tunes of Rajasthani dhols. The couple also performed on Dil Diyan Gallan from the recent Salman Khan starrer Tiger Zinda Hai.
As quoted by Mumbai Mirror, "Gautam and Pankhuri had exchanged rings during Diwali last year as part of a formal proposal but wanted to have a formal ceremony before the wedding with their family and friends in attendance. The sangeet happened in the evening with actress Nigaar Khan performing on some Bollywood hits.
Gautam Rode had shot to fame with his role in the TV show Saraswatichandra. Pankhuri has also played roles in Razia Sultan and Kya Quasoor Hai Amala Ka.
A source said, During the cocktail party, Pankhuri revealed that Gautam had come across as a snob when they first met on their shows set, while the actor wondered who the jhalli was when he saw her walking around in casual clothes ahead of call-time, admitting to be taken aback when she eventually emerged for a shot in character as Draupadi.
