FIFA World Cup 2018: Knockout match result predictions
Paul the Octopus was a common octopus which was ostensibly used to predict the results of FIFA World Cup 2010 matches with remarkable accuracy that brought him worldwide attention as an animal oracle.

During divinations, Paul's keepers would present him food contained in two identical boxes decorated with different team flags of the competitors of an upcoming match. Whichever box Paul chose to eat from was his prediction about the winner.

In FIFA world cup 2018 being held in Russia, a clairvoyant deaf cat Achilles is supposedly used to predict the outcome of the matches with some accuracy.

Animals purported to have psychic powers have become a tradition at soccer's showpiece events to predict the outcome. Except a few matches, the predictions usually come true. But there are other ways also. I am not referring to astrology or psychic experiments. I am talking about far simpler methods.

For example, I have used the concept of numerology combined with intuition to predict the winner of the matches. Here are the predictions:

Round Of 16

Argentina V/s France – Winner Argentina

Portugal V/s Uruguay – Winner Portugal

Spain V/s Russia – Winner Spain

Croatia V/s Denmark – Winner Croatia

Brazil V/s Mexico – Winner Brazil

Sweden V/s Switzerland – Winner Switzerland

Belgium V/s Japan – Winner Belgium

England V/s Columbia – Winner England

Quarter Final

Argentina V/s Portugal – Winner Argentina

Spain V/s Croatia – Winner Croatia

Belgium V/s Brazil – Winner Brazil

England V/s Switzerland – Winner England

Semi Final

Argentina V/s Brazil – Winner Argentina

England V/s Croatia – Winner England

Argentina V/s England – Winner Argentina

Despite extended experimentation, both the teams have close to 50 per cent chance to win with Argentina marginally ahead (0.5 per cent). But it could go either way.

Although prediction using the numbers has its own limitations, but when it is combined with intuition it usually gives accurate results. Let us see whether the above predictions come true!
